PURPOSE: An emergency braking apparatus for a vehicle is provided to stop the vehicle safely by generating powerful braking force from hydraulic pressure with actuating a brake booster by operating a parking brake lever in stopping an engine. CONSTITUTION: An emergency braking apparatus comprises a varistor(21) mounted to a hinge(8a) to display the resistance value corresponding to turn of a parking brake lever(8); an ECU(Electronic Control Unit,24) detecting engine stop, and deciding the travel state of the vehicle by receiving signals from a vehicle speed sensor(22) and an rpm sensor(23); a servo motor(25) operated by the ECU according to current based on the resistance value of the varistor; a hydraulic cylinder(29) filled with brake oil, engaged with a gear unit(27) connected to the servo motor, and connected to the brake booster through an oil pipe(28) to transmit hydraulic pressure by receiving rotation of the servo motor and linearly moving; and a magnetic check valve(31) mounted to the oil pipe and opened and closed by the ECU.
