PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a better characteristics, as well as a lower height by configuring a motor and a turntable as one body, and to provide a higher strength by forming a projection which prevents coming off together with a metal rotor case as one body. SOLUTION: The spindle motor integral with the turntable comprises a stator and a rotor. The rotor is provided with a shaft 4 cantilevered in a bearing, a metal rotor case 1 fixed to the shaft 4 via a boss 3, and a magnet 10 bonded on the inner periphery of the rotor case 1. A plurality of projections 2 extruded as one body from the side of the metal rotor case are arranged along the same circumferential line. The projections 2 engage with an engagement part of a chassis 15 to prevent its coming off, and the rotor case 1 functions as a turntable as well. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
