PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for a hydraulic generating device wherein a disposition space for parts is minimized in a rotation axial line direction of a planetary gear mechanism. SOLUTION: In this drive unit for a hydraulic generating device, a first rotation device 1, a second rotation device 2, and the planetary gear mechanism 13 which rotates around a rotation axial line A1 are provided, a first rotational element 18 of the planetary gear mechanism 13 is connected to the first rotation device 1, and a second rotation element 16 of the planetary gear mechanism 13 is connected to the second rotation device 2, so that the hydraulic generating device 31 is rotated by power of selected one of the first rotation device 1 and the second rotation device 2 to generate hydraulic pressure. The planetary gear mechanism 13 of the second rotation device 2 and a power generator 9 connected to a third rotation element 14 of the planetary gear mechanism 13 are disposed on the same rotation axial line A1, and the first rotation axial line A1 of the planetary gear mechanism 13 and a second rotation axial line E1 of the hydraulic generating device 31 are non-concentrically disposed.
