PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition being a resin composition of an amorphous thermoplastic resin into which a laminar silicate is finely dispersed, having excellent rigidity, surface appearance (surface smoothness) and heat stability, especially a thermoplastic resin composition composed of an aromatic polycarbonate resin. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition is a resin composition which comprises (B) 0.1-50 parts wt. of the laminar silicate (component B) having 50-200 milliequivalents/100 g cation exchange capacity based on (A) 100 parts wt. of the amorphous thermoplastic resin (component A) in which (i)≥60% of the number ratio of the component B has≤100 nm thickness and (ii) the bottom interval of the laminar silicate in the component B in the resin composition is smaller than that of the laminar silicate in the component B alone.
