<p>The invention relates to a method and a system for data transmission through the cable television network (CATV), by using usual modems as terminal equipments in users (CLT), the method consisting in direct sense data transmission from a central station (ST) to the users (CLT), in a first superior frequency subband (Bsup1), the reverse sense data transmission being done, first, towards the end of the network, in a second superior frequency subband (Bsup2), at the end of the network the signal being converted, through a converter, into an inferior frequency subband (Binf), which is then transmitted upstream towards the central station (ST). According to the invention, the system for data transmission comprises a frequency converter (CONV) located at the end of the network, opposite to the end where the central station (ST) is, the signal received from users (CLT) being directed towards the converter (CONV), through some bidirectional amplifiers located in the network (CATV).</p> |
