PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a junction structure to weld a terminal to a coated wire, wherein compaction is not required in advance of welding the tips of core wires, and thereby work efficiency can be enhanced. SOLUTION: In the tip part 20 of the coated wire 20, the exposed parts 22a of core wires 22 is formed by peeling off the coating 21 of the tip part 20a of the coated wire 20 so as to keep the bundled condition of the core wires 22 while leaving a part of the coating. A terminal 10 has a terminal connecting part 11 to be connected to a counterpart terminal at one end, and has a wire calking part 12 to caulk and hold the base side coating of the coated wire 20 at the other end. It is also equipped with a junction part 13 provided between the terminal connecting part 11 and the wire calking part 12 to be joined to the exposed parts 22a by welding. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
