<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can be incorporated in a portable medium such as a pocketbook and is not so damaged as to become inoperable, for example, when a user drops it by mistake or rolls up the pocketbook to apply an external force. <P>SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device 1 has a liquid crystal panel 100 in which a liquid crystal material is charged, a plane type connector 501 which can supply image information to be displayed by the liquid crystal panel and driving electric power, a flexible printed board (FPC) 502 which connects the liquid crystal panel and connector, and a protection sheet 1001 which holds the liquid crystal panel, the FPC and connector in one body by sandwiching.
