POWER GENERATING APPARATUS

A power generating apparatus converts thermal energy into electric power. The power generating apparatus has a vapor generator (12), a turbine (14), a condenser (13), a pump (16), a power generator (15), and a container (10). The vapor generator (12) evaporates a working medium liquid into a working medium vapor by heat supplied from an external heat source. The turbine (14) is operated by the working medium vapor generated by the vapor generator (12). The condenser (13) condenses the working medium vapor from the turbine (14) into a working medium liquid. The pump (16) conveys the working medium liquid to the vapor generator (12). The power generator (15) is operated by the turbine (14). The container (10) houses the vapor generator (12), the turbine (14), the condenser (13), and the pump (16) and holds the working medium liquid and the working medium vapor in a hermetically sealed space formed therein.
