The present invention relates to novel transcription mediator proteins and genes thereof. More precisely, the present invention relates to novel proteins dMed21, dMed23, dMed24, which are the components of transcription mediator originated from Drosophila melanogaster, genes encoding the above proteins, and their homologous proteins existing in the other organisms. The mediator proteins of the present invention can be effectively used for the studies on transcription regulating mechanisms including transcription regulation mediators of eukaryotes and for the development of artificial gene expression control method using thereof.
