A measuring device for the pulse rate of the person holding the club is provided in the club grip. The device comprises sensors in the form of ultra-light, thin metal plates with a rounded shape adapted to that of the grip. The device is powered by a battery in a cavity in the grip and includes an integral digital display for the measured pulse rate.
