The door handle assembly includes a support part (2) with recess (4) fixable on the door and an outer grab handle (5). The recess has two facing inside walls. A slide body mounted in the region of one inner wall and facing outer wall is fixed relative to the one wall and is supported on the other wall so that when the grab handle is pivoted the slide body slides on the wall which forms the guide surface. The slide body can be inserted in a socket in the shaft (8) so that it protrudes at one of the outside walls and contacts the opposite inner wall which forms the guide.
