The machine has several work stations (A) each having several work units (3) e.g. drill bit units mounted in a line and adjustable in a first direction relative to each other. Each work unit also has its own work piece holder (2) adjustable in a second direction.. All of the work stations are arranged with their respective work units next to each other on a common rigid machine base (1). Also, or alternatively, all of the work units have a common machine control and/or common tool management e.g. the same tool magazine.
