The device has a first bearing ring (5) consisting of first and second ring parts (6,7) in the axial direction together forming an annular space (19), a second bearing ring (13) that protrudes radially into the annular space and is in sliding contact with the first and second ring parts and a device for setting a defined value for the axial extent of the annular space when the bearing is fitted in the wind energy system. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of adjusting the play of an inventive slide bearing for a wind power system.
