PURPOSE: A method for converting a broadcast service in a digital broadcast receiver is provided to efficiently apply a mosaic EPG service to all digital broadcasts by self-converting broadcast services. CONSTITUTION: Information necessary for selecting a digital broadcast service is recorded and stored in a digital broadcast receiver through automatic tuning operation or interface operation with external equipments. The stored information is linked with sub-pictures in a mosaic EPG(Electronic Program Guide) image. If one sub-picture is selected in a state that the mosaic EPG image is displayed on a screen, the information linked with the sub-picture is searched for and read from the digital broadcast receiver to select the corresponding broadcast service.
