PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chips treatment apparatus for effectively separating dust from chips and preventing scattering of the chips at separation. SOLUTION: A sorting device 14 for storing chips has meshes 18 at least at the bottom part and an opening 19 at the upper face part, and is pivotal by spindles 16 and 17. The one side spindle 16 has an exciting means 24 and applies vibration to the sorting device 14, and the dust deposited to the chips is shaken off through the meshes 18 of the sorting device 14. Furthermore, the one side spindle 16 has a rotary means 25 and can reverse the sorting device 14 at least to an angle enabling chips remaining inside the sorting device 14 to be taken out from the opening 19. A guide body 21 is provided over from the periphery of the sorting device 14 to the lower side thereof and collects the chips falling from the sorting device 14 to one part. A plurality of collecting containers 41 and 42 are placed on a turnable turntable 43, and the dust falling from the sorting device 14 and the chips remaining inside the sorting device 14 are separately collected.
