摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propeller shaft supporting structure allowing accurate run-out of a propeller shaft upon collision while suppressing the run-out of the propeller shaft due to outer force except collision. SOLUTION: A bracket 4 supporting the propeller shaft 3 has a fixed support 6 fixed to the lower side of an automobile 1 and a backing support 7 through which the propeller shaft 3 passes. Theses supports 6, 7 have connection portions 12, 13 connected to each other via a pin 8 passing through the propeller shaft 3 in its axial direction in the longitudinally superimposed state, and the pin 8 is held at a passing-through position by a cotter pin 9. When the propeller shaft 3 is displaced to the rear side during the collision of the automobile 1, the pin 8 is pushed by a dust deflector 21 provided on the shaft 3 and pulled out. When a protruded object on a road surface hits the backing support 7, the backing support 7 is just about to turn on or around the connection portion 13 but the pin 8 is free from pull-out.
