<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for an elevator having high visibility of its indication and having a high stiffness. <P>SOLUTION: The display device of the elevator includes display part 12 to display the operating condition of the elevator car, and the display part 12 is furnished on its obverse surface with a meshing piece 13 to allow penetration of the indication of the display part 12 through a number of permeation parts 13a arranged dispersively. Because the surface of the meshing piece 13 forms spaces surrounding the permeation parts 13a, the air existing in the spaces is heated and expanded when a fire of a lighter is touched, and released to the outside, so that the flame can be prevented from touching the surface of the display part 12 directly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
