PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for economically and efficiently peeling adherends bonded to the grate for an incinerator from the grate and a peeling method using the same. SOLUTION: An abrasive cleaning material is projected on the grate to be treated. The apparatus adapted to this method includes a handling device (3) for the grate to be treated, rotation and revolution devices (4 and 5) for supporting the grate to be treated, an abrasive material projection device (7) for projecting the abrasive cleaning material on the grate to be treated and a dust collector (16) for preventing dust or a harmful substance from issuing to the outside.
