PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing a taper hole capable of maximizing the accuracy of the taper hole and elongating a tool life by reducing compression stress acting on a chip. SOLUTION: A chamfer ratio of a cutting blade of a taper reamer to a workpiece is set to 0.8-1.0, and the taper reamer is transferred to process a taper hole based on the chamfer ratio. This makes it possible to maintain the chamfer volume of the cutting blade to the workpiece properly, obtain a smooth finishing face with generated flow type chips, and maximize the accuracy of the taper hole as well as elongate the tool life by reducing the compression stress acting on the chips.
