<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation for external use, excellent in inhibition of skin chapping and skin aging symptom and having prevention and improvement effects on lipid peroxide production, skin inflammation and skin chapping each caused by active oxygen formation in the skin. <P>SOLUTION: This skin care preparation for external use is obtained by containing a Salicaceae plant extract and one or more kinds selected from usually utilized antioxidants such as carotenoids, flavonoids, tannins, gallic acid and its salts and esters, tocopherol and its derivatives, superoxide dismutase, thioredoxin, thioredoxin reductase, butyl hydroxytoluene and butyl hydroxyanisole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
