PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing apparatus and an advertisement output method capable of providing useful information to a user at reproduction of music. SOLUTION: An audio apparatus 1 allows a display section 12 to display prescribed music information with scrolling in the case of reproducing a CD, an MD, or a DVD or the like and allows the display section 12 to display advertisement information with scrolling in succession to the display of the music information when the display of the music information is finished. Further, when the display section 12 displays a time, the audio apparatus 1 allows the display section 12 to display the time for a prescribed time, to delete the time display and to display the advertisement information.
