<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve conventional problems and to carry out a writing operation by a low-energy luminous flux. <P>SOLUTION: This optical recording medium includes at least a recording layer 302. The recording layer 302 is positioned on a transparent substrate, and its structure sequentially includes a first transparent layer 304, a first semireflective layer 306, a first insulating layer 308, a reflective layer 310 and a material layer. When the recording layer 302 is irradiated with a writing luminous flux 300, a second semireflective layer is generated on the first semireflective layer 306 and the transparent layer to reverse the reflection characteristics of the recording layer 302. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
