PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a leak current between a plurality of lamps with the same lighting time. SOLUTION: A fixing lamp device (a discharge lamp device) 50 is provided with a fixing lamp for yellow 61 and two fixing lamps for magenta 62. Each fixing lamp consists of luminous tubes 66, 67 with a discharge medium each enclosed and a pair of electrodes 68a, 68b fitted at an outside face of each luminous tube 66, 67. A lighting circuit 63 impresses voltage on each electrode 61, 62 to selectively light each fixing lamp 61, 62. The fixing lamp for yellow 61 is arranged between the two fixing lamps for magenta 62. Since the distance between the fixing lamps for magenta 62 with the same lighting time is separated, a leak current between the two fixing lamps for magenta 62 is prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
