PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic positive characteristic thermistor using a metal powder having a spike-like projection, wherein the characteristics are excellent, and if a thermal shock is repeated, increase in resistance can be suppressed, and its fabricating method. SOLUTION: The organic positive characteristic thermistor has a structure such that a particle-like metal powder (metal particles) having a spike-like projection and/or a filament-like metal powder in which metal particles having the spike-like projection are linked in a chain-like manner is scattered in a polymer to form a composite material, which is pinched by a pair of electrodes. After the metal powder is subjected to a treatment of reducing an oil absorption by a physical method and/or a chemical method, the metal powder is scattered in the polymer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
