<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auto tracking apparatus for reproducing a digital signal including video and audio capable of enhancing accuracy of auto tracking control. <P>SOLUTION: The auto tracking apparatus is provided with: an envelope detection section 11 for detecting the amplitude of an envelope signal from a storage medium recorded in an LS mode of the DVHS standard; an envelope comparison section 12 for discriminating the level of the amplitude outputted from the envelope detection section 11 to obtain a tracking correction amount; an adjacent envelope detection section for using an envelope signal adjacent to the envelope signal used by the envelope comparison section 12 to compare the levels with each other and to obtain the tracking correction amount; and a tracking control section 13 for using the tracking correction amount outputted from the envelope comparison section 12 with the tracking correction amount outputted from the adjacent envelope comparison section to output a control signal for tracking control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
