<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of enhancing a digital image captured with a digital camera similarly to the case with a photo film system. <P>SOLUTION: This invention provides a method of enhancing a digital image captured with a digital camera including the steps of: providing one or more data selected from a group comprising a camera model type, an image sensor type; a type of a light source, a type of image compression, a previous noise reduction processing history, a previous spatial sharpening processing history, and camera noise magnitude; employing the one or more data to generate one or more noise processing parameters; and employing the one or more noise processing parameters to enhance the spatial detail of the digital image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
