PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce operations of both a sender and a recipient of image data by realizing an image transmission and reception system, which can input, store, and reproduce sound information, to digitize, transmit and receive the sound information integrally with image data and also generate a corresponding separated page. SOLUTION: The system capable of transmitting and receiving the image data comprises a means of inputting the sound information, a means of storing and reproducing the sound information, a means of adding the sound information to the image data and transmitting and receiving them, a means of generating, transmitting and receiving, and printing a separated page corresponding to the image data and sound information, a means of putting identification information corresponding to the image data and sound information together with the separated page and printing them, a means of putting the identification information together with the transmitted and received image data and outputting them.
