PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an existent telephone set having a handset into hands-free type easily as it is without any alteration. SOLUTION: A handset placing stand 110 for freely removably placing a handset 2 of the telephone set thereon is provided with a transmitter-receiver for a coupler including a microphone 122 for the coupler to be acoustically coupled with a receiver side speaker 22 of the handset 2 and a speaker 144 for the coupler to be acoustically coupled with a transmitter side microphone 24 of the handset 2, and transmitters-receivers 111 and 114 for couplers and a hands-free transmitter-receiver 30 are connected via a prescribed connection means.
