PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail management system, an electronic mail server, a computer program and a recording medium which can avoid concentration of transmission requests of attachment files, without having to suppress the storage capacity of the electronic mail server. SOLUTION: It is determined whether an attachment file is contained in a received electronic mail (S2). If an attachment file is contained, the number of transmission requests per predetermined time is counted. If the number of transmission requests is not less than a predetermined value (S9: YES), the attachment file is duplicated and is registered in a document management database. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
