PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material information retrieval device retrieving not only a material name including an inputted character string and information attached thereto but also a material name including no inputted character string but having a relevance and information attached thereto. SOLUTION: This material information retrieval device is provided with an input part for inputting an arbitrary character string, a storage part prestoring a plurality of material names and material information and attribute information corresponding to each of them, a retrieval part recognizing the attribute information of the material name including the inputted character string and retrieving and reading the article name having the same attribute information and the material information from the storage part, and a display part displaying the read out material name and the material information.
