PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for display panel inspection and an adjustment mechanism used therefor to achieve precise adjustment of the contact position of an electrode terminal of the display panel with a contact of the socket, reduction in size and the number of components, improvement in manufacturing efficiency, cost reduction, and commonality and standardization of the adjusting mechanism. SOLUTION: The adjustment mechanism 64 allows a wiring board or an IC tab 63 to move parallel in a terminal alignment direction to adjust the contact position in the terminal alignment direction. The adjustment mechanism 64 allows the wiring board or the IC tab 63 to rotate within a plane the same as the plane of the wiring board or the IC tab 63 to adjust the contact position in the direction of the rotation.
