ENCODING METHOD AND DECODING METHOD FOR AUDIO DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of copying protection of both of audio data of a two-channel system or narrow-band system and high-quality audio data of a multichannel system or a broad-band system when both of the data are transmitted. SOLUTION: Audio signals A of the two-channels or multichannels relating to the same audio data sources are selectively inputted to an analog-to-digital converter 1, are subjected to analog-to-digital conversion by the different numbers of sampling frequencies and the numbers of quantization bits and are recorded to a disk. A first CGMCAP code for managing the copying of the two-channels and a second CGMCAP code for managing the copying of the multichannels are recorded to a lead-in area of the disk.
