STAINLESS STEEL REFINING METHOD

PURPOSE: A stainless steel refining method is provided which is capable of recovering the reduced valuable metals by reducing valuable metals contained in slag in the process of refining stainless steel. CONSTITUTION: The stainless steel refining method comprises a step of performing decarburizing operation by injecting inert gas into molten stainless steel; a desulfurizing step of refluxing a mixture of fluorite and slag for 1 to 2 minutes by injecting 6 to 7.5 kg/T into the slag so that the slag is easily reacted with chromium oxide by inducing slagmaking of slag in which impurities are collected; a deoxidizing step of refluxing the recarburizer for 2 to 3 minutes by injecting 2 to 7 kg/T of recarburizer for deoxidizing the slag into the mixture of the slag and fluorite; and a step of decarburizing the resulting material under the vacuum state.
