PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a cooling unit in common in various types of automatic vending machines different in depth dimensions, while standardizing the cooling unit. SOLUTION: In this storage chamber cooler for the automatic vending machine arranged with the cooling unit in a storage box of a cabinet, and for blast-circulating cold air in the storage chamber via a suction duct laid on a backface of the storage chamber to cold-insulate articles, the cooling unit 7 is an assembly comprising an evaporator 7a, an in-chamber fan 7b and a wind channel 7c, leader coolant piping 1 is laid on an in-chamber wall from the evaporator, and connected to a conditioning unit of a refrigerator arranged an out-chamber bottom part while by-passing the front edge side thereof. In the cooler, a piping length of the coolant piping is set to a standard dimension conformed with the cabinet of which the in-chamber depth is shallow, and the cooling unit is connected mutually to the cabinet, interposing a spacer duct 12 between the evaporator and the suction duct, when the cooling unit is mounted on the cabinet of which the in-chamber depth is deep.
