The invention relates to a wind mill for irrigation purposes, employed to water extraction from various depths, by collecting wind energy and converting it into useful mechanical energy. According to the invention, the wind mill comprises a Darrieus-type rotor () and a forcing-and sucking pump () directly coupled with the shaft () of the Darrieus-type rotor () by means of a coupling () integral with a housing (), thereby ensuring a reduced breakaway torque, a simplified and dynamically balanced construction, the pump () having some discs () integral with a body () thereof and with a shaft (), where the discs () alternate in respect of one another, so that they do not allow water to pass from a tank () to an extraction well () when the wind velocity is not enough for entraining the Darrieus rotor (). |
