A clutch engagement control device (100) engaging a friction clutch (1) using an actuator (3), wherein a magnetostrictive sensor (71) detects the power transmission condition of the friction clutch (1), and the speed of the engagement of the friction clutch (1) is made a first engagement speed until the magnetostrictive sensor (71) detects the start of transmission of the power and changed to a second engagement speed slower than the first one when the magnetostrictive sensor (71) detects the start of transmission of the power so as to gradually increase the power transmission rate by starting the power transmission of the friction clutch (1) from the power non-transmission state of the friction clutch (1).</p>
