<p>A method of purifying a quaternary alkylammonium salt by which a particulate quaternary alkylammonium tetrafluoroborate having a low water content and suitable for use as an electrolyte for electrolytic solutions can be obtained in a high yield. The method for purifying a quaternary alkylammonium salt is characterized by including a step in which a quaternary alkylammonium salt to be purified is dispersed in an organic solvent to form a suspension. The alkyl has 1 to 5 carbon atoms. After the step in which a quaternary alkylammonium salt to be purified is dispersed in an organic solvent to form a suspension, the suspension is washed with an alcohol solvent.</p> |
