Method for finding and-or classification of acupuncture points on the skin, whereby an alternating voltage signal is applied to the skin using a first electrode and a second electrode is used to measure a current or voltage signal, an alteration of which indicates the presence or not of an acupuncture point. The input signal has a range of frequencies or is varied over a given frequency range. The resultant measured signal in analyzed on the basis of frequency dependent impedance and-or transfer function and-or phase shift between input and output signals. The invention also relates to a corresponding device for method implementation.
