The invention relates to a novel coating method for light metal alloys, according to which an electrophoretic lacquer and a galvanic coating are combined. The inventive method enables corrosion-resistant surfaces having very good optical properties to be produced, maintaining an advantageous flexibility in terms of choice of material and thicknesses of the layer.
