PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously producing an aromatic dimethylamine, comprising the hydrogenation reaction of an aromatic dinitrile, in which a catalyst is effectively used to profitably produce the aromatic dimethylamine. SOLUTION: While the aromatic dinitrile of a raw material is supplied in a specific concentration, the conversion rate of the aromatic dinitrile at the exit of a reactor and the production ratio of an aromatic cyanomethylamine to the aromatic dimethylamine are adjusted to specific ranges, respectively, to control the reaction temperature.
