PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent-quality image by improving a contact state and separability. SOLUTION: The fixing device 24 has a heating roller 241 having a heating means 240, a supporting roller 242 disposed separately from the roller 241, a fixing belt 243 laid endlessly over the rollers 241 and 242, and a counter roller 242 forming a nip by press-contacting with both of the roller 241 and the roller 242 disposed on a downstream side in the moving direction of the belt 243 with respect to the roller 241 through the belt 243. In the device 24, the roller 242 is driven and rotated by a driving device 250, and the belt 243 and the roller 244 are driven by the rotation of the roller 242. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
