PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively improve thermohydraulic characteristics and power by attaching a specific number of coolant stirrer vanes at specific locations in a thimble tube of a nuclear fuel assembly for a pressurized water reactor and by optinally stirring cooling water in reactors with various designs. SOLUTION: In a PWR wherein a plurality of fuel rods 7 and thimble tubes 2 penetrating support grids are held in separated state, coolant stirring vanes 10 consisting of a specific number of attachment rings 10A fixed at specific positions and stirring vanes 10B having one or more stirring plates 10d projected from the outer surface 10a of the rings are placed at whole or part of exposed locations in a plurality of the thimble tubes 2.
