<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar apparatus having a short measuring period for direction in scanning an capable of measuring the distance to each object to be measured and relative speed even if two or more objects to be measured are present. <P>SOLUTION: The radar apparatus comprises a frequency modulating means 11 for creating transmission waves, a transmitting and receiving means 15a for transmitting the created transmission waves and receiving reflected waves for the objects to be measured, a scanning means 21 for repeatedly scanning a predetermined scanning range in the transmission and reception directions of the transmitting and receiving means, and a signal processing means 10 for acquiring the distances to the objects to be measured or relative speed on the basis of the transmission waves and the reception waves. The frequency modulating means 11 creates a first transmission wave alternately repeating any two sections among a frequency rise section 31, a frequency fall section 32, and a frequency nonmodulated section 33, and a second transmission wave repeating the one remaining section and switches between the first transmission wave and the second transmission wave in synchronism with a scanning period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
