PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic composition less liable to break particles in the mixing or molding the ceramic composition and capable of easily holding the plasticity in the molding and molding with good dimensional precision and a method of manufacturing a ceramic filter. SOLUTION: The ceramic composition is one kind of a particle selected from the group consisting of a solid resin particle, a hollow resin particle, a thermally expanding micro-capsule and a thermally expanded micro-capsule which have a polar group (preferably a group having hydrophilicity) on the surface (and preferably contains a fluidity imparting agent or water holding agent) and a method of manufacturing the ceramic filter using the composition.
