PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oiling agent which is used for elastic fibers, has excellent stability over a long period, and has a good property for preventing the mutual adhesion of the fibers, when the elastic fibers are produced. SOLUTION: This oiling agent for the elastic fibers is characterized by comprising (A) a base oil having a viscosity of 1 to 1,000 mm<SP>2</SP>and selected from the group consisting of (A1) a polyorganosiloxane and (A2) a hydrocarbon-based lubricant, (B) a 12 to 24C higher fatty acid metal salt having a volume-average particle diameter of 0.001 to 1μm, and (C) a surfactant having a solubility parameter (SP) of 8.0 to 10.5 and selected from the group consisting of (C1) an anionic surfactant and (C2) a nonionic surfactant.
