<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic observation apparatus of compact configuration which makes good images free of distortion, visible at all times even if the observer's visual position moves. <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic viewing apparatus is provided with a pair of image projection means 2R and 2L which can project an image for the right eye and an image for the left eye, one image display means 5 which presents the image for the right eye and image for the left eye projected by the image projection means to the observer's right and left eyes 6R and 6L, detecting means 7 which can detect the observer's 6 movement, and driving means 3 which can move the image display means in follow up to the observer's movement in accordance with the change in the output from the detecting means accompanying the observer's movement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
