PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent mixing of foreign matter 9 into a plastic bag in a bag- making machine for forming the plastic bag from plastic films 1 and 2. SOLUTION: An optical sensor 11 is set in a proper place of a pipe 10. When the foreign matter 9 is discharged into the pipe, it is detected by the sensor. A signal response means 3 is connected with the sensor. Every time the plastic films are supplied intermittently, when the foreign matter is not discharged into the pipe, the signal response means takes measures to give the alarm or to stop the bag-making machine based on the detection signal of the sensor.
