PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a master batch with high productivity for a highly dispersive flame-retardant aromatic thermoplastic resin having excellent flame-retardancy. SOLUTION: The method of producing the master batch is characterized by obtaining the mixture of an aromatic thermoplastic resin, an antioxidant, a dripping-preventing agent and an aromatic polymer containing sulfonic acid groups from the die by supplying and kneading an aqueous solution or an aqueous dispersant of the aromatic polymer containing sulfonic acid groups forcibly into the barrel of a continuous corotating twin-screw extruder, after the aromatic thermoplastic resin, the dripping-preventing agent and the antioxidant are supplied in the extruder and melted.
