<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing tool and a packing method for an image-forming device by which the whole of the packing tool can be made compact, and the cost of the packing tool can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: This packing tool is constituted by providing a first packing body 5 for packing an image-forming device main body 1, and a second packing body 4. In this case, the image-forming device main body 1 is equipped with a reading part 11, an image-forming part 14, and a sheet-housing part 16. The reading part 11 has a scanner part which reads an original draft image. The image-forming part 14 has an image-forming part 12 which forms an image according to image data, and a sheet-feeding part 13 which feeds sheets to the image-forming part 12. The sheet-housing space 16 is provided between the reading part 11 and the image-forming part 14, and houses sheets which are carried from the image-forming part 12. Also, the second packing body 4 packs a toner cartridge 2 in which a toner to be fed to the image-forming part 12 is housed, and which is detachable from the image-forming device main body 1.
