PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tomb for pets such as dogs or cats that is not too heavy for good handleability, while securing stability as a tomb. SOLUTION: The tomb comprises a foundation 10 made of granite and an upper casing 12 made of stainless steel plates. The upper casing 12 has on its bottom surface a base 25 made of granite and is used with the base 25 resting on the foundation 10. An urn is housed in a cavity 12A within the upper casing 12 and mementos are housed in a cavity 10A within the foundation 10. An opening in the front of the upper casing 12 can be closed with a lid and a picture of the pet can be displayed in the opening after the urn is housed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
